November, what a month its been....

Well, i havnt been posting much latley due to the fact that i have been run down with various other things to do,incuding getting the flu (i dont usually get sick often, but when i do its bad) and have been spending a lot of my time at the track with a camera in front of my face.

Just at the track (WSID) so far this month there's been a Bracket Meet, Private test day, and a Freaky Friday meet that got canned after i waited at the track for 3 hrs, to see no racing at all... But wait there's more, I will be heading back out to WSID for another Bracket meet this Saturday 28/11.

All is well though, apart from my head near exploding whilst processing the amount of photos i did in a short time. We did have a rather nasty day at the track on the 7/11 with a big accident causing a major delay, and serious injury to a driver, and the shocking, untimely passing of Darren Shepard just moments after the cleanup ended on the track, a racer well known among the WSID crew and Harley fans. Darren left the complex on a friends bike when he came off suddenly in the entrance to the carpark and hit the wire fence pole. A very minor accident but a broken vertabra was the result which proved fatal. This put a gloomy end to the days racing.

On a more positive note, it seems it has been the month for PB's. Jamie Ruggier aka "Rotorg33k" ran a long awaited PB of 8.96@149mph in his ETZV8S RX3 Coupe. A new tune and a few other minor tweaks making a big difference. Jamie, & brother Daniel hope to better this time this week.

Another close friend Steve McGirr in the OakFlats Muffler Men RX3 enjoyed the extra track time at the private test, also running a new PB. Steve is finally getting the hang of the new clutchless gearbox and managed a impressive 9.3@147mph in the un-tubbed Coupe. Another car that will be pushing 8's in the time to come.

Adam Nunar was puttin his new Turbo to work managing to squeeze out a 8.8@155mph from the 13B in his stunningly presented RX3 Sedan (yes, another RX3) Look out for a feature shoot real soon.

Julian Barberra had a lucky escape at the BlackTrack Perf private day in his super quick VL after backing off mid track he stomped on the gas again only to see the car cut sideways towards the wall. Driver experience helped julian avoid dammage to the car, but a change of underware may have been needed....

Thanks go out to Justin from BlackTrack Performance http://www.blacktrackperformance.com/ and Shane Chriton owner of the worls fastest Toyota Cressida 1JZ747 for organising the Private test. The cressida has made the change from radials to Full slicks, pushing out a new PB but still smoking the tyres off the line for a 9.0@151mph not bad for a family sedan.

There were a load of quality fast cars out at the track over the month, some of the usuals were out in force putting on a show.

The BRICKI GT Falcon was wheels up as always.

Also representing the ford fans was the very grumpy KING4V GT

There was a little green LJ Torana out, stalking the staging lanes that is becomming a favorite of mine, wearing the very suitable plates "ORSM" , this little Machine packs quite a big punch and loves to carry the wheels past the 60' mark on most passes. Take a look for yourself....

I spose that's enough of my dribble for this post, all images from the month are on my site www.jngimages.com in the event gallery so check em out. I will updaste once this weekends event is done and dusted, hopefully the weather holds off this time.
If your after some more visual Sport Compact goodnesss, check out Rotorg33ks YouTube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/rotorg33k and give your ears the workout they deserve, turn it on and turn it up!
